Nicholas J. Muros, Director/Officer of the National Council of Property Taxation is Senior Vice President with Marvin F. Poer & Company and has over 30 years experience in the property tax consulting field. He is the Group Operating Officer for Poer's five Western Group offices, responsible for leadership and oversight management of business development, services and client relations in Irvine, Seattle, Phoenix, Denver and Chicago. He is based in the Dallas Corporate Office. Mr. Muros has presented appeal cases throughout the Midwest and appeared before various tax courts and state board as an expert witness on property valuation. He was appointed Cook County, Chicago, Illinois' first Taxpayer Advocate by the Assessor. Mr. Muros earned his B.S. degree from Northern Illinois University, holds a Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE) through the International Association of Assessing Officers and is a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
