
Terry Ennes, 1st Vice President of the National Council of Property Taxation, is President of Ennes & Associates, Inc.
Terry is responsible
for overseeing the day-to-day operation, client service and product development
of the firm. He is also directly involved in all of the firm's major assignments.
Terry is a nationally recognized expert in the field of property tax administration.
He has been published in national trade periodicals, including Area Development,
Discount Merchandiser, and Shopping Center World. He has also spoken on tax
issues before groups such as the Institute of Property Taxation, the Chicago
Tax Club, Illinois CPA Society and the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Prior to forming the firm, Terry was Director of Property Tax Administration for Wickes Companies, Inc. At this diversified Fortune 100 manufacturer and retailer-parent company for some 80 operating companies and divisions in the U .S. and Canada-his responsibilities included tax assessment review and control, property appraisal and assessment appeal. He reviewed operating units' compliance functions, directed a departmental staff, administered the compliance function for corporate and surplus properties, and had full department budgetary responsibility. In this capacity, he reported directly to officers of the corporation. During his tenure at Wickes, from 1980 to 1989, he held various positions of increasing responsibility including: Property Appraiser, Senior Appraiser, Supervisor, Department Manager and Director.
Before joining Wickes, Terry was a Real Estate Associate with Realty World Key Realtors, where he was involved in managing rental properties, marketing commercial and residential real estate, and property appraisal.
